I started PHF during the pandemic. It was something I had been considering for some time after I watched so many Canadian retail fabric outlets including Designer Fabric Outlet close down. Fabric store owners were retiring and the business of main street fabric selling was no longer viable due to high real estate prices. 

When Designer Fabric Outlet closed down in Toronto, I was sure that one of the existing fabric sellers would step up and make a move to online sales, but no one did. In the USA there are HUGE online fabric stores but the shipping to Canada is expensive and of course there are double taxes, and duty and brokerage fees. Most people including myself have looked upon those large American fabric outlets like Joann.com and Fabric.com with envy, never to make a purchase.

So with time on my hands, a love of all things web, years of Design experience, and good Canadian wholesale contacts, I decided to start Canada's first comprehensive Upholstery, Drapery and Home Décor Fabric store. Honestly I was pretty naive, but here we are.

 All fabrics are made overseas these days, but we are proud to work with reliable and exclusive Canadian suppliers. We have curated a current collection of high quality upholstery and drapery fabrics for your home. No dusty bargain bin rolls here! We know you want the best. And like any retail store, we are happy to spend time assisting you.
